Fusilli Giganti, bigger than classic Fusilli pasta, is a large-sized spiral pasta cut whose name comes from the tool once used to obtain the distinguishing shape. In fact, this cut was originally made rolling a piece of dough of various dimension around a sort of spindle-shaped named “fuso” – a type of big needle used by women in ancient times to hand-spin the wool – to get the distinctive helix shape.
This plus-sized version of classic Italian Fusilli is perfect to oven-bake with a yummy Ragù all’Italiana, topped with stretchy mozzarella for an extra layer of tastiness. A real hit!
